Motorcyclist killed in US 301 crash

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The motorcyclist involved in the crash on US 301 Wednesday night has died as a result of his injuries, Sarasota Police confirms.
The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday near 12th Street and North Washington Boulevard.
A man was driving a motorcycle southbound on US 301 and collided with an SUV.
The driver of the SUV was cooperative with officers and was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with injuries.
The crash is under investigation by the Sarasota Police Department Traffic Unit.
